Wüstungen – Crowdfunding

I would like to draw your attention to the crowdfunding campaign by the BerlinPhotoWorkshops colleagues Anne Heinlein and Göran Gnaudschun for their book project "Wüstungen". The project is dedicated to the villages that were demolished in the GDR to make way for the border security systems - a largely forgotten part of German-German history. Heinlein traces the spirit of the places in impressive black-and-white photographs; Gnaudschun in intensive texts to the often dramatic stories of the former inhabitants.
